"I had a mental image of the band in these "incubator" looking pods when I thought, "Incubus...Incubate". The two words actually stem from the same latin route word. The actual word Incubus has been used in different ways straying a bit from its original meaning: basically, "evil spirits" that visit women in their sleep, "dream lovers". In the band's case it would be a variation of the word meaning something you love that comes to you in your sleep, such as a number one hit song. So I decided to evolve the pods into "Dreampods" allowing them to either dream of new songs or to transport themselves into women's dreams, and tell them to buy their albums. ; )"
